군부대는 a army camp 정도가 좋지 않을까요? 육군이라면요.

육군 부대라면 (army) base라는 말도 나쁘지않죠. taxi driver did smoke -> taxi driver was smoking and taking a rest

I went to Chuncheon to meet my friend who was a soldier. -> I went to Chuncheon to "see" my friend "serving his duty at the military". (군대에 있는 친구 면회 간다는 것으로 해석되어 고쳤습니다. 하사관 지원복무나 사관학교 생도가 아닌 이상은 'serve one's duty at the military'라고 해주면 군대에서 의무복무를 한다는 의미가 됩니다.)
On my way to the military, I took a taxi. Arrived to the nearby military, I got out of a taxi and walked to the military. -> I took a taxi to get to where his camp was located, and on arriving near there, I got off from the taxi and started walking towards the camp. ('군부대'는 보통 camp를 많이 씁니다. 위에서들 지적해주셨죠. 그리고 'on one's way to+ 장소'는 '어떤 장소에 가는 길에'라는 뜻입니다. 가다 말고 중간에 뭔가 끼어든다는 소리죠. get out of는 '나오다' 혹은 '벗어나다'의 의미가 강합니다. 차에서 내린다고 할 때는 get off를 씁니다.) Walked on the roadside, I was realizing that i had missed my cellular phone. I ran back to the place where the taxi had dropped me off. -> Walking on the roadside, I suddenly realized that I had left my celluar phone in the taxi. I ran back to where the taxi driver had dropped me off. (walking 이라는 것 또한 위에서 많이들 지적해주셨네요. be+동사 ing형은 '걸어가는 도중에' 생각이 나서 그렇게 쓰신 것 같은데, 걸어가는 내내 생각한 게 아니라 그 순간 생각이 든 것이므로 그냥 과거형만 써주시는 게 정확합니다. 또한 택시에 핸드폰을 "놓고 내렸다"라는 게 표현은 좀 더 자연스럽겠죠. 관계부사 where앞에는 the place가 안 옵니다. how앞에 the way 안 오는 거랑 똑같습니다-_-) Fortunately the taxi driver did smoke and took a rest on the same place so I got back my cellular phone. -> Fortunately, the taxi driver was still there, taking a cigarette break. I could get my celluar phone back. (이 문장에서 중요한 건 '아직 택시기사가 거기 있었다'라는 것만 보여주면 됩니다. '같은 장소'라고 하면 어딘지 모르겠죠. 앞에서 '내렸던 곳을 향해 달렸다' 라고 했으므로 '거기 있었음'으로 충분합니다. 그리고 이 경우에 문장을 그대로 두시려면 'was smoking', 'taking a rest'가 맞다는 건 참고겠고요. 'a cigarette break'는 '잠시 쉬면서 담배 한 대 피는 것'을 의미합니다. could는 의미를 좀 더 명확히 하기 위해 넣었습니다.) After this happening, I met my friend. -> Then finally, after this incident was over, I met my friend. (문장이 좀 뜬금없어서 분량을 늘여본 것에 불과합니다-_-... happening은 보통 복수로 쓰였을 때 '우발적 사건들'이라는 뜻을 갖습니다. 이 경우에는 incident가 좀 더 적합한 걸로 보여서 그걸로 바꿉니다.) 한줄요약 : 문장은 막연한 감으로 만들어지는 것이 아니니, 전치사나 관용어구 등을 동사에 갖다붙일때는 사전이나 예문확인 필수.
