CPL Australia Stop Gets Cancelled

Cyberathlete Professional League (CPL) and Sierra USA have today confirmed the cancellation of the Australia stop, which was about to begin next weekend, between 12th - 14th October at the Supanova Expo in Sydney. The event had a nice $40,000 dollars prize purse with F.E.A.R and World in Conflict being the official game tournaments.

CPL과 Sierra USA는 오늘 Sydney에 Supanova Expo에서 10월 12일~14일사이 다음주말 시작하는 Australia stop의 취소를 확인했다. 이벤트는 공식적인 게임 토너먼트인 F.E.A.R과 World in Conflict와 함께 $40,000 달러 상금을 가진다.

According to the Supanova staff, The CPL and Sierra did not have any negotiations with the Supanova staff itself, so the final decision was made without them.

Supanova 직원에 따르면 CPL과 Sierra는 Supanova 직원과 함께 어떤 교섭을 가지지안았다. 그래서 마지막 결정은 그들없이 만들어졌다.

"We know personally from all the emails that we received that fans were really keen on this event and in saying that I hope that we here at Supanova with your support and input can organize a much better event at a future Supanova Expo," says Drew, the staff member at Supanova's forums.

There is no official announcement yet from The CPL, but you can see though the Australian stop being marked as completed in CPL's website. The next World Tour Stop will be held in London, UK on January 2008 with a $300,000 dollars prize purse.
